Who is the Sound Ecology family?

Karen D'Andrea, host and producer, is also an independent radio/sound producer and journalist (Sound Ecology Productions) in addition to being a consultant for non-profits (Gaia Consulting). She has been heard on Free Speech Radio News and Pacifica Radio.  From  2002-2006 she served as the producer for the nationally acclaimed Homelessness Marathon.  She is a member of AIR (Association of Independents in Radio).

Michael Manning, aka Goober or The Goobs, has been a volunteer at WMPG for two years and has been working with Sound Ecology for a year.  He is a recent graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a degree in Political Science and is working as a fundraiser for the Portland Symphony Orchestra.

Kathleen McGee, Punditry Parade (this segment heard on the third Wednesday of every month),  As former Director of the Maine Toxics Action Coalition, her work on West Nile Virus, eliminating dioxin, protecting children from mercury contamination and pesticides is well known in Maine.  As the Tax Reform Campaign Director for the Maine Citizen Leadership Fund she worked to defend the environment and civil society in a very different way. She  has also worked on many other issues known not only in Maine but nationwide.
